As is mentioned in the introduction, it was not possible to place the blower fans below the rebar rolling line.\u00a0Therefore, the foundation of the rolling line must be cut and its level transferred to 2 meters lower.\u00a0On the other hand, due to the relatively long time predicted for the execution of the project (45 days), it was not possible to interrupt the production process of the line. In fact, at the same time as cutting the foundation and the columns supporting the line, the rolling line must continue to work, and meanwhile, the construction operation must be followed.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>Solutions<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
\n

In order to solve the mentioned challenges, a temporary structures were designed so that the rebar rolling line could continue to work smoothly during the project.\u00a0 The rolling line was stabilized in its place and the executive operation started under it by the implementation of this semi-prefabricated metal structure. In the executive operation, the foundation was completely cut and the end of the concrete column was destroyed. Finally, after excavation, the foundation was transferred to the desired level and the column was extended to the level of the foundation by the steel-jacket retrofitting method.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>Results<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>

By implementation of this plan, the employer was able to change the level of the foundation and install the required fans without interrupting the production line and incurring huge financial losses. Several years after the plan implementation, no settlement or cracks have been observed in the line and elements of the structure.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
