<\/i><\/i><\/span>Challenges<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>

As is mentioned, stands 2 and 4 of Kavir Kashan Steel Complex have been affected by acid vapors since the start of operation.\u00a0These vapors were able to cause concrete corrosion and due to the spread of this corrosion, the mentioned stands also suffered from shear cracking.\u00a0Therefore, while repairing the concrete, it was necessary to think of measures so that the concrete would not corrode and crack in the future.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>Solutions<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
\n

In order to solve the mentioned challenges, first, the defective concrete was completely removed. Then injection was executed into concrete deep cracks. Finally, the connection between the old and new layers of concrete was established by using methods such as rebar planting and epoxy adhesives. Also, to protect the concrete surface, an anti-acid coating was applied on its surface to prevent the penetration of acid vapors into the concrete in the future.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>Results<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
\n

The implemented repairing plan has been able to have a good performance against acid vapors and environmental conditions during the years that have passed its life.\u00a0In fact, these two stands have maintained their functionality without any cracking or sign of corrosion.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
